The examples are made up

Rahul's snack shop, Bharat Foods Ltd, and every rupee figure attached to them are teaching devices. They are illustrative and fictional unless a lesson says otherwise in as many words. No number here describes a real company, a real price, or a real outcome.

Rules, rates and charges change

Regulations, tax treatment, brokerage, exchange charges and market timings change, and they change without warning to a reader. Anything on this site can be out of date the day after it is written. Verify anything time-sensitive against SEBI, the exchanges, the depositories, or your broker before you act on it.

Markets carry risk

Investing in securities carries risk, including the loss of the money you put in. Past behaviour of a market, a sector or a company does not tell you what happens next. No lesson on this site promises a return or implies that one is likely.
